Digital Media Event: An Evening with Marketers, Entrepreneurs, & Tech Geeks

Announcing NYEBN's 1st digital media networking event. We host this type of event because there is a large demand for it. The event is meant to be free, but we need your commitment for it. Here is how it works:

1. PayPal Payment/Refund
A small fee of $5 needs to be deposited in order to RSVP for the event. We will refund you the $5 fee if you do the following:
A. Show up at the event yourself
B. Drop your business card in the bucket
C. Write your PayPal email address on the back of your card
If you do not pay in advance via PayPal, it's $10 at the door for admission.

2. Attendees
Please note this is not a pitching type of event. Instead, we are creating an environment where you can connect with the right people in the media and tech industries to assist you with your businesses. Let's keep the discussion focused on digital media only for this type of event. If you fall into any of the following categories, you should come:

PR 2.0/Marketing 2.0 agents
Publishers
Editors for publication firms (NY Times, WSJ, etc...)
Bloggers/podcasters/video bloggers
Social media lovers/experts
Tech startups
Tech geeks
App developers (Facebook, iPhone, etc...)

Internet marketers

Graphic designers

There might be other categories that I left out, but you get the idea. If you do not have a business related to digital media, you are welcome to show up too if you just want to learn and get connections.

3. Checking-in
Important: Remember your Meetup user name and your name on PayPal

5. Other reminders
I. This is a business networking event. Dress code should be formal and professional
II. You need to be at least 21 to enter the venue. Bring your ID with you
III. One drink minimum
IV. Time: 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
V. The name tag holder is $1 (pay at the door). You can bring your own name tags if you   have a good-looking one.
VI. Please tweet it, blog it, and facebook it to share the event with your networks. You're welcome to bring guests.
